1999 NB original ICE

I have a May 1999 NB 1.8iS. When I bought it in January 2010 it was fitted with a Sony CDX-4250R radio/CD player. Does anyone know whether this would have been the original factory- or dealer-fitted unit?
If not, what would the OE unit have been?

Sounds like the original, they were Sony units. Can you post a photo of it? Non of them were factory fitted in that era, they were all UK supplied, I believe, and fitted by the dealers during PDI.
