1st service on AE

Hi guys
Can anyone please advise me as to if I should put the original exhaust back box on for 1st service and warranty inspection, instead of the Racing Beat I’ve upgraded to
Was going to get dealer to check out a ‘fumy’ air con smell
Just wondering if they may take a dim view of my new exhaust and try to weasel out of any obligations
Cheers
Steve

If you hadn’t said ‘fumy smell’ I would have said leave it as is. As it’s a fairly straightforward job to swap maybe put the OEM box on for the service.

lol, i doubt they will even acknowledge it. I certainly wouldn’t bother removing it.

If you’re getting a “fumy” smell then you really ought to get it checked out as the fumes could contain carbon-monoxide, the odour-less killer!
I don’t get any fumes from my 30AE, but it does have the OE exhaust, and just had it’s first service.

Hi Shinetop
This may be a long shot but when I had a funny smell in the car it turned out the windscreen washer fluid had gone off in the hot weather.
