2.5 front fog light lens

Hello,
I have I a 2.5 Indiana with front fog lights. The lens of one of the fog lights has been smashed, presumably by a stone. (I’ve only had it a week so this is all new to me). Is it possible to buy a new lens or do I need to get a whole new light unit? Any advice would be very welcome.

Thanks,

Giles

You need a new lamp unit. Citroen/Peugeot ones are the same and I believe cheaper than Mazda boxed ones. I’ve not get the part number to hand I afraid though, I think it’s the type fitted to the Xsara Picasso.

Yes as above citreon picasso or renault megane 2002 up to 2008 and they are availaable in motor supplier/factors for approx 20 pounds .Try to get reputable name like Valeo or Cibie but cheaper taiwan type jobbies are not too bad either

Thank you both, that’s really helpful.

Cheers

Hi Giles, a fellow Indiana owner smashing    are you the person I read about the other day where someone ( Cornwall ? ) saw their neighbour had an Indiana  MX5 and went out and found one to buy themselves ?  if so you did very well as there are not that many left now, just over 200 I believe, did your car come with the matching hard top ?  hope to see you at one of the National Rally’s next year enjoy

Hi Bubbly,

Not me in Cornwall - but I saw the same article, great story. Yes it has the hard top, all in great condition. I’m taking it to be treated with Dinitrol after the holidays to try to keep it that way. Next jobs are the fog light and a new aerial mast (current one is a bit bent and won’t retract fully).

The website ‘howmanyleft.co.uk’ says that in Q2 this year there were 220 Indianas licensed and 7 SORN, so as you say they are pretty rare now, I had to search for several months to find one.

I certainly hope we’ll meet up at one of the rally’s next year. Our first event will be Brooklands on New Years Day, which should be a good event with a good variety of classics there.

Regards,
