Hi…has anyone removed the original catalytic converter (or had the original catalytic converter stolen) from their NB MX5 and if so from where, please, did you get a replacement?

I have just removed mine and sold it for over £1000 and replaced it with a sport cat from Gravity for £225. Hopefully that will not get stolen as it has no resale value.
To be honest I was amazed at the money I was offered for the original one.

I’m in the same process just now. Found good results on https://www.cats2u.co.uk/, with a stainless replacement section for less than a standard mild steel job from mx5city.
I was offered £780 for my cat by Platinum Group Recycling and have an 04 SVT. Contacted them through Facebook at Redirecting...
I know the prices vary according to model, etc., but I was pretty happy with that.
