Not quite ready to change my plugs yet as my car has not yet reached 50k miles but was surprised to see that the 2.0 litre changes plug type according to the NGK website from a 17.5mm reach plug to a 25mm reach plug around 2008.
Is that because the cylinder head was redesigned?

NGK Part No 3789 - ILTR6A-13G which are to ones I’ve had in my 2006 2.0l since Dec 2013, changed at around 60k the car now has 102k on it, with no issues. It seams their price is £18.50 each and MX5 Parts are £23.20 each! plus postage charges.
