2007 Mazda MX-5 2.0i Sport, 6-Speed Manual with Full Roddisons Engine Rebuild in 2018 - SOLD

Here I have for sale my Mazda MX-5 2.0i Sport, 6-Speed Manual, finished in Galaxy Grey metallic with Black leather seats. It was first registered on 29/06/2007 at Wey Valley Mazda and I have owned it since February 2017. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. It has an MOT until February 2023 with no advisories. The car currently has 123,110 miles.
The car comes with an extensive full-service history, is fully HPi clear and has been meticulously maintained with no expense spared. It is always stored in a dry enclosed garage and every six months a full detailing protection has been applied using Autoglym and Collinite products for paint protection. It has only been used as a second car for road trips around the UK and Europe. The car has been owned by an enthusiast, always ran on Shell V-Power 99RON fuel and has been maintained with the use of premium products.
I purchased the car from MX-5 Specialist Roddisons Motorsport and has since been looked after by MX-5 Specialists Blink Motorsport, Roddisons Motorsport and R.H. Auto Engineering.
The original owner’s manuals will be supplied, two working keys, a printout of the service history and a raft of maintenance invoices. During my ownership I have spent over £7,500 on maintenance and upgrades – all invoices included for reference. More than happy to provide you a detailed spreadsheet with all the work done on the car.
Recent works include an engine oil & oil filter replacement along with an MOT with no advisories in February 2022.
I am sadly selling the car as I am moving overseas, and circumstances do not allow for the car to be shipped.

Mechanical Overview
A few functional upgrades focused on reliability and driving pleasure using high quality parts have taken place. An OEM+ approach was taken and as you can see the car is very subtle and drives spectacularly. The car is in perfect mechanical condition with a full engine rebuilt, brake & suspension refresh, fresh Michelin PS4 tyres and every fluid in the car replaced with a premium and high-performance alternative.
In terms of the engine the common fault areas that these cars have with the thermostat and the tensioner pulleys have been addressed with replacement of these parts. In 2018 the engine suffered the common rod knock, which was caused by oil starvation. As the car chassis was clean, I decided to go ahead with a full engine rebuild by MX-5 specialist Roddisons Motorsport, which everything was rebuilt on the engine. The engine has done 22k miles since and is running smoothly and faultlessly. As the engine was out, a new Exedy clutch was fitted as well. The gearbox and diff oil were replaced with higher performance options from Redline. A K&N filter and Cobalt exhaust have been fitted in order to provide a more sporty exhaust/engine note.
A full set of Meister-R CRD fully adjustable coilover suspension was fitted, set-up and geo aligned by Blink Motorsport. Along with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres it makes the car incredibly capable handling wise on road conditions.
In terms of braking, the front callipers have been replaced with fresh OEM Mazda, discs all around are Brembo, brake pads front/rear are EBC Yellowstuff and the brake fluid has been replaced with high performance ATE Type 200.

For the money and with these upgrades, I believe it is the perfect RWD driving machine focused on performance driving and handling.
