2016 nd1 low tire pressure, abs malfunction, dsc malfunction, tpms system malfunction, electric vacuum pump system malfunction

Hi all, I have a 2016 ND1 and was driving and the low tire pressure light came on. I continued driving a couple of miles and pulled over to stop for fuel. Inspected tires no flats just lost a bit of air and would top up when I got home in another few miles. After a few minutes of driving along with the low tire pressure light, more lights lit up, abs malfunction, dsc malfunction, tpms system malfunction, electric vacuum pump system malfunction.

Has any one else experienced this?

I’ve read it could be a faulty ABS sensor, also had the car washed recently and they used a pressure washer, so not sure if they damaged one.
Also an issue with battery, although I had mine replaced earlier in the year.

Thanks

Hmm,this is an off-the-wall idea and might be totally irrelevant.

You might have a bad connection somewhere in the CANBUS system, this is the beating heart of the NC and ND.

Incorrectly terminated high speed transmission lines like CANBUS can ping back spurious reflections as false data and confuse the host system, so it panics and walls off affected parts.
In extremis “incorrect termination” can be short circuit or open circuit anywhere on the relevant wires, but corrosion can also introduce problems.

My suggestion is based on something that happened with my 2014 25AE NC.

With that I had been fiddling about with the head unit, and forgot to plug in the Climate Control assembly. The car started fine and drove OK, but warnings began cropping up for all sorts of unrelated systems. Very similar to your symptoms.

The only common link was the CANBUS system. The only thing I’d done was take out the head unit which included unplugging the Climate Control.

Sure enough no climate control plug to be seen, it had dropped down and hidden itself out of the way.

I reconnected it and all has well ever since.

I take you pumped the ‘tyres’ up to the correct pressures?

Thank you for getting back, hope it’s not this,I’ve not done any work to the car myself, and hadn’t hit any nasty potholes at the time, but won’t rule this out

Thank you for getting back, I had pumped the tyre to correct pressure, only one was slightly under, and when I tried to reset the tyre light from the button, the tyre pressure light did not go off and all the other lights have stayed on.

ABS Sensor fault. Firstly just make sure that there are no wiring faults, then you need to plug a digagnostic scan tool in which will telly you which sensor is faulty. After that its just a caes of changing the sensor.

Thank you
