Hi all. I bought a set of 4 rose bushes November 2023 with 41,325 miles on the clock of my March 2017 ND. It’s just been in for a service with 67,500 miles on the clock and the garage have reported the very same bushes as an advisory. Recently, I have noticed some rear end clunking but didn’t imagine it would be down to these and I’m wondering from the forum, is the general feeling that less than 2 years or 25k miles is about all you get for your money? Looking like I’ll need to shell out another £500 with fitting before the MOT though.
No, it’s not good. Which ones did you use, as a few places do them now?
Which replacement bushes did you get?
You need the Andy Leslie ones.
Or the Mazda ones (full hub with all new bushes). New improved parts.
Thanks for your replies/thoughts. The original supplier has kindly offered to replace them and he’ll examine the ‘faulty’ ones to be removed upon their return. I’d rather not name/shame as none of us are perfect and to be fair, it could be one-off, engineering failure on a particular set. I’d paid £385.00 including the tool + postage and then £120 to the garage to remove/replace in Nov '23.
Then why make a thread on it, if you’re not prepared to state a simple thing like which ones they were? I mean, it’s pretty obvious 25K miles isn’t acceptable. It’s not ‘naming and shaming’; you allegedly bought a product and it didn’t meet expectations. Maybe saying which product it is might save some people a lot of money.
Personally I take this sort of forum stuff with a pinch of salt when people air grievances/state issues, but refuse to say which product there are. Happens soooo many times. And some other poor owner potentially sleep walks into issues which could be avoided.
