Good afternoon MX-5er’s.
My SportNav+ is due it’s 4th annual service & MOT next month. Apart from the annual oil & filter change, is there anything else I should consider. Brake fluid was changed in 2020 and has only done around 2.5k miles since… I guess Mazda would change this every other year?
I use my local garage who has a great reputation for his work and pricing.
The car is used just for fun and going to the supermarket a couple of times a week, hence the mileage is only just over 11k now…!
Thanks in advance.

I skipped the 4th service last year because Covid meant I had hardly used the car. This year I got everything on the 4th and 5th year schedule done,
Apart from a lot of “Inspection” the schedule says to replace brake fluid, oil and filter for the 4th service.
Something optional you might want to do sometime is to change the gearbox and diff oils. Mazda doesn’t tell you to change the diff oil unless it’s been submerged in water; the gearbox oil is scheduled at 5 years so should be picked up then if you were to use a dealer.

if you haven’t done the gearbox and diff oil then now is defiantly the time…
Also change the brake fluid, mileage is irrelevant as it degrades over time…

Thanks for the replies.
I believe the best/correct grade of engine oil is 0w20 Full Synthetic?

Hi
Just had my 4th service & MOT - 2018 DN RF - at MKG Twickenham at a cost of 410.00.
Seems a lot but dealer service history will repay its self, if and when you decide to trade in etc.
Full valet and engine steam cleaned as a bonus - also nice honest people to deal with.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!!
