I too was little confused about the admission costs from reading the club magazine but other club members from my local area clarified things. Have now booked two tickets and looking forward to the event. Will there be parking on the banked part of the circuit again? - I’ll make sure my handbrake is fully operational
I’m quite new to the MX-5 OC but think it represents pretty good value - lots of events with our local club, national events like this plus a bi-monthly magazine so plenty going on for us MX-5 enthusiasts.
I have managed to miss the deadline for ticket booking for the Brooklands event.
If anyone who has booked but is now unable to attend, I would gratefully arrange to cover your costs if they could be forwarded to me. Bit cheeky but I would require Driver, car and passenger.
We need to address the current delay in ticket distribution.
Processing took significantly longer than expected due to a high volume of avoidable booking issues. We’ve had numerous duplicate purchases, mismatched email addresses against membership records, expired memberships, non-member bookings, and multiple car space reservations under different details.
In addition, a large number of members secured entry tickets but did not correctly add vehicle passes. On top of that, close to 100 car spaces have been locked out through double, triple, and even quadruple bookings.
Unravelling this has required a full manual audit before submission to Brooklands, which has set us back several days.
Here’s what happens next:
All bookings have been verified against current membership records.
Duplicate vehicle passes will be cancelled.
Non-member or lapsed member bookings will be contacted separately.
Any incorrectly submitted bookings may be voided and refunded where necessary.
We appreciate that everyone is eager for confirmation, but we have had to resolve this properly.
Tickets should be arriving from tomorrow, thank you for your patience while we have had to get this cleaned up.
