Looking forward to the 2026 Spring Day at Brooklands, there is no mention in this months STHT or the shop web page when the tickets will be going on sale.
Could someone give us an anticipated date to put in our diary for tickets going on sale please ?
The magazine seems to arrive in batches, and is ideally meant to be from tomorrow - so there is some very efficient post happening… if you have your magazine already it has arrived ahead of expectation!
There is a membership email lined up to go out with details tomorrow of bookings and other offers.
That does not answer the question as why as a joint member and the passenger you have to pay. We have not paid to go to a Rally in the last 20 odd years so why now. The Club has the funds to pay the cost of the venue fees.
I do not think that is true. If I remember correctly we had to pay something to attend the spring event at the air museum in Scotland.
It looks very good value to me and I have no issues in paying a little extra.
The Club does not have a joint membership. it is only has one type of membership: one member, with up to one guest associated with that membership. There has only ever been one member on an account.
If we did offer a joint membership, it would clearly not be priced the same as an individual membership. This was discussed previously and reviewed when we attended this venue in 2014, but it is agreed by the committee that for the vast majority of what the Club does, the single membership model works - especially where members and guest share residence and where we can fully control the operation of events.
Brooklands operates on a per-person ticket basis, and we are unable to book the venue in the same way as our usual spring events. Normally, the Club can absorb all entry costs and offer events inclusively to members and guest regardless of how many names appear on a membership. That is not possible here.
For Brooklands:
Each membership is entitled to one Club-provided ticket.
If a member is attending with another person (spouse, partner, friend, guest — regardless of whether they are named on the account), an additional ticket must be purchased.
Tickets are ÂŁ19.99 per person, compared to a normal public price of around ÂŁ27, which already represents a significant discount
Effectively, members are receiving a heavily reduced “two-for-one” style benefit, with the Club subsidising the first ticket for every membership that books.
Yes, this makes Brooklands more expensive than a typical Club spring event, but it remains popular and is something members regularly ask to return to — which is why we chose to come back in 2026.
As was also the case at our last Spring Day at Brooklands in 2014:
Yes, the event is limited to 750 cars.
This is not a regular Club Rally event. We are not able to hire this venue as we would normally, we have to operate with Brooklands Museum’s terms and conditions.
Brooklands charges on a per-person basis rather than a venue hire, which means the Club cannot control entry in the usual way.
Tickets and costs
The Club will cover the cost of the Member + Car ticket.
Any additional guest (friend/spouse/partner) in the car will require a ticket costing ÂŁ19.99, which is a discounted rate from the normal Brooklands entry price of ÂŁ27.10.
This represents a significant saving for anyone visiting the Museum, regardless of the Club event.
Booking requirements
Member tickets must be booked in advance and before the cut-off date of 30 April.
Tickets will be emailed directly by Brooklands prior to the event.
Anyone arriving without a pre-booked ticket will need to pay the standard Brooklands admission price on the day, regardless of Club membership
Booked. As per information provided at Stonor Park, I assume arrangements will be published regarding the autojumble (for those selling) in due course. I’ll probably hang out by my car this time around. I really do need to shift all my MX-5 spares, memorabelia etc.
For those booking a free ticket, and wondering why “only” 750 cars (which is still a decent number), and who haven’t been before, Brooklands isn’t the sort of venue to support huge turnouts. From 2014
Note the footnote on the booking; if you don’t use your ticket, the club reserves the right to recover the cost. So remember to cancel your ticket if you change your mind, or have other plans.
Yes, there is a little ground planning still to be done - which will be determined on how tickets are going and Test hill bookings and then we can look at the numbers for Competitions and the space for an Autojumble again
