235 tyres on 17 x 7.5 rims

Hi Guys,

just  enquiring if anybody has run with 235 tyres on 17x 7.5 rims on an NC ?

The 205,s look real skinny so when replacing was going to go wider.

Is it feasible and OK to fit 235 on these rims?

Rob.

Not tried but you have to inform your insurance company and get that on file if you change your wheels or tyres, not a big issue but it covers your backside so they cannot refuse a future claim.

I run 215 on mine

Yep got all my mods recorded so would notify if I did go wider.

I know they look for any excuse not to pay out so would make sure im covered.

Hi ,

I believe that’s ok as it is and some have even gone 225.

Just need to know if 235 cause any issues.? And if so what profile is used ie 35 ,40 ,45 etc ?

Do you have a pic of car from back with the wider tyres?

Don’t really want to add spacers for the wider look so hoping to do it with the tyres if it is safe.

235 will rub on the inside of the wheel arch. I would also say it is far too much tyre for the car.

If you want less gap, use lower offset wheels.

OK Cheers guys
