Just a heads up at the moment but for the 2014 , 25th anniversary year we will be organising a trip to the Ring in conjunction with our good friends at Destination Nurburg and just as in 2009, we hope to get MX-5 groups from across Europe, maybe even further afield to join in, who knows, we might even get Mazda to sponsor the BBQ.
The track part will be a track day, not turistfarten and so will not all the associated liability risks that come with those days and you will be able to get track day insurance if required.
This will be more than a track day though, it will be a whole social event, early days at the moment but we certainly will plan a large BBQ at one of the Ring based race teams or at some where nice in Adenau with views and a car park.
Dates are unknown as yet as no Ring dates are currently known, but summer time basically.
Price will depend on which circuit in used, the basic Nordshlife of the full VLN GP circuit and Nordshlife so you will need to budget around £800 to include Tunnel and hotels.
It’s a track day Alan, as long as you can get it to the track, just like Oulton Park or Brands, then it’s OK
There are even rumors that the police turn a blind eye to cars going to ED’s garage for fuel, but basically you just pull of at the GP track at T13 and get fuel there.
