It was crying out for some TLC Geoff, have those rubber seals ever been cleaned and treated?
Good going so far, mine needs doing now after a rainy drive to York this morning.

I really don’t think they have mick ,
I rinsed the ‘5 , treated with TFR , rinsed again, snowfoamed it , rinsed again then hand washed with power maxed shampoo and the water running off was still filthy :frowning_with_open_mouth:

Oh hey! Number 22 of 2k over here  Happy to see another 25th on here. Bought mine just over a year ago now, very glad the previous kept mine inside. They didn’t actually drive it for a full year. Hope you enjoy the work on yours!

(Just realised mine is a 20th, not 25th, my bad xD)

Some of the plastic trims in the boot had scuffs / scratches so they were removed

Cleaned :sponge:
Treated with plastic primer :white_check_mark:
And sprayed with black textured paint :art:

Currently Waiting for them to dry before refitting

Under body braces treated and refitted

Callipers and discs removed to check back plates ( usually very crusty)
stripped , cleaned, carriers , callipers.
Rust killer on back plates

Pads n discs are fairly new ( rusty due to being stood , will clean up with use )

Great job so far Geoff :+1:

Are the front brake back plates crusty? As you probably noticed earlier this year I replaced the Recaro s fronts, far worse than the rears, they were disintegrating, right pig of a job to get the hub off for replacement.

Looks like a great job, what rust converter and underseal did you use?

Just about to do mine?

Hi mick
Both front n back about the same ,
Might not have taken pictures, but all 4 disks removed and back plates treated with rust killer.

The heat burnt bit comes off pretty easily with metal Polish on a drill buffer I found - you can see where it was but it’s gone :+1:
