These are pics from day after LANOGAURD had been applied……
I’m happy with the results

Lovely job . They could of given you black weights though.
I’ve seen a similar colour brace bar elsewhere😁
Interesting red you chose for the braces.
I was considering gas struts for the bonnet, but only until I offered up the strut brackets I rescued from the Niseko and suddenly realised the 25AE explosives were in the way, thus an absolutely definite non-starter. I would have painted the brackets 41V to match the body.
And before the offering-up I’d already made another search for 41V spray cans, but I could not find any available (and as I write MX5parts still shows out of stock) at a reasonable price that were guaranteed to have the tinted lacquer essential for the correct match (adjust number/thickness of coats for how intense the red is).
So for the parking sensors I ended up with a slightly blobby result from the official Mazda touch-up-brush set I already had for the Mazda3. Spray cans would have been so much better.
Thanks…… I think
I admire your enthusiasm and hard work, it must be extremely satisfying seeing such excellent results.
It makes me think I really should get under mine and do the same.
But it’s all clean, and no rust anywhere, and I’ll minimise salt exposure, and I’m a bit creaky to crawl underneath…
Excuses, excuses…
This 25AE needed a bit of TLC Richard ,
Inside , outside and underneath
Hopefully it will be done to a nice standard once finished
I got it at the right money to cover my bit of tinkering
Looking smart Geoff
Seats out for deep clean
A bit more cleaning n polishing today
Mats hoovered , jet washed and wet vacc’d ,
Paint work hand polished.
I have a machine but not confident about using it yet
Looking good.
What did you inject into the chasis rails and hollow bits?
How did you treat the gearknob…I’ve done my steering wheel but it still requires more work?
