I sanded it and sprayed it with the “ textured “ paint I used on the boot panels, then a couple of coats of lacquer ![]()

I scrubbed my knob (oh!matron
) then applied some black shoe polish then some black dubbin. It looked great but like leather shoes needs reapplying occasionally as it gets scuffed again. I don’t think these OEM knobs are actually “real leather” covered.
Ideally I’m looking for a nice leather and chrome gear knob.
