3.75 prht 2014 2.0 aux drive belt 6pk2253?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: nc3.75 2014 prht 2.0
  2. I’m based near: kent
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on:auxiliary drive belt

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that the 2.0 3.75 with aircon takes a 6pk2253 belt on the auxiliary drive?
Thanks.

If you haven’t bought one yet I’d tend to believe this will fit and buy this one. They are usually spot on with supplying the correct parts.

Thanks Mick. I cross referenced that belt and it’s a 2255 so there’s a 3mm difference between them over a 2.25 meter belt. I’d say either will be good but I generally go with gates. Thank you that answers my question :+1:.

Is it just the usual breaker bar on the tensioner bolt, rotate clockwise to release tension then remove and replace etc?

That’s how I did mine :+1:
Just in case you need a configuration…

That’s perfect thank you again :+1:

Common for aftermarket belts to be a few mm different as they are only stocked in certain sizes. SO’s Jimny has a 948 Gates instead of a 950 OEM, and an 833 Gates instead of an 835 OEM.

The Gates belt I put on my Mk3.75 with a/c in April was https://bofiracing.co.uk/servicing/engine/belts-chains/gates-auxiliary-belt-with-aircon-for-mazda-mx-5-nc-09-15/

It must be right as it doesn’t squeal, slip or jump off at 6000rpm.

I’m sure the tensioner can take up any tiny differences in length anyway :+1:
