Before you spend a great deal of money, understand it will never be Caterham light, have the steering feel of a Lotus, the drive out of a corner like a Porsche, the brut power of a RS Audi or the ride of a Rolls.
It will always be a MX-5, which is really really good at being a car you really enjoy driving drive and having fun at sane speeds. Take care you don’t make it less MX-5.
here’s an alternative view to mull over, if its an NB face lift in that sort of condition, with no welding at all, and no rust, and low mileage I would try to keep it that way and buy another daily with the 5k and keep that one for best…
