Here’s some vector renders of the RF that I created in AI. I think the software did a pretty good job, what do you think?
Those are stellar. You could sell copies of those.
Roughly how long did each one take?
Have you done any of the other marques?
Great stuff, well done
Cheers,
Guy
Hey, Guy!
Thanks, that is really nice of you to say.
I did try different marques, and the software did a pretty good job of the NC. I just couldn’t get it right for the NA or NB. Maybe I need to try different commands or different words to get the a.i. to ‘think’ about what it’s being asked to produce?
I did some really nice ones of my other favourite motor; the Lexus LC500. They always seem to render pretty accurately. These have been posted on my Instagram and have gained a few ‘likes.’
As for selling them, I agree they would look good in a nice frame or maybe on a mug. Trouble is with the materials cost and printing, I’m not sure it would be viable on a small scale, although I think on Etsy it’s possible to automate the process and make a small profit.
Anyway, thanks for responding, and thank you for the feedback.
All the best,
Chris
The V.W bus looks very cool and I can see what you mean about the Lexus.
I’m pretty sure you could drum up business for customised prints for owner cars. Too bad about the NBs though as I was hoping to persuade you to create one
I’m fascinated in the process. Can you explain how these are created without giving away trade secrets?
Edit* Just noticed the 8 series too. Superb
link on the website how to create these ?
I will happily have a go at trying to create an ‘NB’ for you. I have read that you can input your own files into the system, so will have a go at that too.
If you want to try the software for yourself you can access it for free to try it, but beware, once you go down the rabbit hole it’s very addictive!
Here’s the link (click on ‘Community Showcase’ to browse some creations)
Enjoy!
Hi, As per the above reply, here’s the link for you:
Hi Chris, thanks for the link.
Goodness, there are some talented people around. That community showcase has some amazing images.
I had a quick look at the getting started tab.
Is it necessary to run the software through a discord server? It looked that way…
Tbh it’s probably a bit too technical for me and although I appreciate your offer to create an NB rendering for me I don’t want to waste any of your free uses.
Thanks again for the link.
All the best,
Guy
Hey, Guy
I think you do need to install Discord for Midjourney, but if you log out you can still create prompts on your own channel once you subscribe.
There are other AI software programs on the net, but the first ones were Dall-E and Midjourney. It’s a case of doing some research.
I’m absolutely happy to do an NB, but I’m going to experiment feeding in some photos to see if that gets better results.
I’ll let you know if something special comes up.
Happy New Year!
That’s brilliant Chris, thanks so much.
Happy New year
Thanks dude
Awesome!
I did have a go. Mine ended up looking like a blue banana
Really?
Try this prompt, but change the colour or add variations as you see fit
beautiful vector design, metallic grey mx-5 rf–ar 2:3
Thanks Chris
The software does seem to be more familiar with either the most modern MX-5s or the oldest.
When I asked it for an NB it threw out a blend of all the models
There was some mention of inputting a photo and re-working it. Perhaps that could give a more reasonable result. I’ll look into that option.
You’ve opened up a whole new arena to me as I was completely unaware of AI picture creation.
Thank you
Edit* Just spotted the last two designs. Excellent stuff.
The Mt. Fuji and cherry blossom car gives a particularly apt atmosphere.
You’re welcome!
I’m so glad you like it. I find you get good results by using prompts from the gallery by more professional users, then adapting for yourself gets the best results.
Let me know if you get it to do an NB. I’ve tried all sorts of commands, but usually it comes out like a mark one. There’s some tutorials on Youtube that show you how to add your own images.
All the best
I do hope BMW start using those design tools soon… The current design trend is hideous (and has been for the last few years)
They are horrible, aren’t they? Yet people are buying them!
If you get a chance, google Frank Stephenson (the celebrated car designer) on youtube and see what he says about it.
Cheers,
Chris
