A visit to The Wheel Alignment Centre, Southampton

Hi Everyone,

Today, I rang Nick at the Wheel Alignment Centre again, as it had been a while since I last spoke to him, to arrange our visit there on the 5th November.

Nick is expecting us and the address is; The Wheel Alignment Centre, Southampton, 20 City Industrial Park Southampton Road, Southampton SO15 1HA.

The Wheel Alignment Centre is situted very close to IKEA off of West Quay Road on the South side, nearest the docks.

Nick has asked if we can gather there at 09:00, so a bit early, hence no time for a pre-drive, but he is kindly giving up his Sunday morning to host us and said he can get a few cars through and set them up as they should be by 12:30.

I had 3D Tracking done on Una the Eunos earlier this year, after habing two new front tyres fitted and the difference was absolutely incredible, as she is so sure footed now and has the added bonus of better tyre wear. So, this one will be well worth the visit and you wont be dissapointed.

Terry and I will be doing the teas, coffees and bsicuits, so come along and join us for what will be a very interesting visit

We look forward to seeing you there.

Best Regards

Terry & Mal

Sounds good… yes please!

I’ll be there too - thanks for arranging this Mal.

Steve

If possible, I’d like to book a spot for a 4 wheel set up, or an inspection and recommend actions to be taken.

Colin

Hi Steve & Colin

No worries and we look forward to seeing you both there.

It promises to be a good one

Mal

Patricia had her MX5 wheel alignment carried out by them, here are the before and after photos, car runs like it’s on rails now…

Hi Mal & Terry,

We hope you have a fabulous time as unfortunately we can’t join you as the car is so new we don’t need to get the wheels aligned.

Have a great day.

Best regards,

Colin & Sally

Hi All,

We were in Southampton at IKEA today, so I dropped off Serena and Melissa and popped round to see Nick at The Wheel Alignment Centre and he is happy

There is a coffee machine there, so I will just take biscuits along and we will be good to go.

Sorry you won’t be there Sally and Colin, as it would be interesting for Nick to see how accurate the geometry is from the factory… Just a thought??

Plan is to meet at Sainsbugs Hedge End, near the petrol station and go from there. If you wish to go straight there then that’s perfectly okay also.

As Nick requested us to be there for 9am, I plan to rendezvous at 08:15 for a prompt 08:30 departure.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Mal

Looks like i will be coming on my own…

I would like to come on this as I’m sure mine need doing

I cant come, as would have loved to.  Out of interest, anyone know what the usual rates are for a four wheel alignment is with Nick?  WIM is about the same distance from me as Southampton, so was interested to see if there was a difference in costs.

Hi Rusty Wheels,

Yes, there are a few branches of TWS about, so I am pretty certain that the price will be standard across the company. However, I will try and remember to ask the question on the day for you.

Mal

Thanks Mal. Enjoy the visit!

Hi Mal
can you count me and Caroline in for Sunday.

Thanks
Nick & Caroline

Hi Nick & Caroline,

Great stuff, will be good to see you both there.

Mal

A brilliant visit to The Wheel Alignment Centre this morning. A bit of an early start for a Sunday, as we met up at Sainsburys, Hedge End, around 08:15. Four cars in total and we waited a bit longer than 08:30, just in case people were delayed getting there.

The four cars set off for a really easy journey, via Bittern and The Notham Bridge and on to Southapton Docks. Nice to see Queen Mary 2 in dock, as we glided past, then just past IKEA we turned left into Southern Road and straight to The Wheel Alignment Centre.

Nick was there waiting for us and the filter coffee was on

First car on the ramp was Colin’s and I unpacked the various biscuits that Serena, my wife, had provisioned and we settled down to watch Nick work his magic on Colin’s car and all eleven cars that turned up.

It was also good to see Steve from Pulborough, in his stunning 2011 PRHT, who was impressed with the difference that the alignment process produced.

I had previously had my wheels 3D aligned at another provider, whilst having two new front tyres fitted and said I would forgo getting my car set up so everyone else could get through but Nick was so focus send and efficient that he did my last and although I smugly said it would be good to see what little difference Nick could detect on the “Super Tracker System”. My smugness, once the process started was soon put into check, as once I grabbed another coffee and wandered over to the rear of my car, where Nick was working, he looked at me and said it was the worse one of the day, as the lock nuts had not been tightened up and things had drifted out.

Nick adjusted things and I went for a drive around the block and it was amazing to feel the difference, as she is so sure footed now And I didn’t think she was bad before.

Grateful thanks must go to Nick for giving up his Sunday morning to host us and it is hoped everyone came away happy.

We will definitely put a return visit in the calendar for 2018

Best Regards

Mal & Terry

My car was checked and found not too far out, but Nick said I would notice the difference, boy! what a Big difference it made. I would encourage anyone to have their setup done, it put a big smile on my face

A great and very informative morning. As Mal said the difference is very noticeable, and mine wasn’t too far out of alignment with only the R/O/S kicking out. Today’s been fun  … dry, well washed road, not too much traffic and a great handling car!

Thanks Mal.

Steve,

Brilliant, glad you are pleased with the result, as are many others.

It was a great event and certainly makes a big difference to the way our fives drive and we should all see better and even tyre wear over time.

We look forward to hopefully seeing you at some of our future events.

Best Regards

Mal
