Met a gentleman who owns a Mk2 at last week’s Crotch Cooler Classic Car Show.
He showed me his nice clean silver car and I noticed a patch of black gaffer tape on the rear of the leather passenger seat.
He said “Oh that’s where the passenger sun visor was left down and the sun reflected in the vanity mirror and burnt right through the seat cover”!
Be warned, don’t leave the sun visor down when parked in the sunshine!!
