Hello and welcome to the Solent Area of the MX5 Owners Club.
Our region covers all of the Solent Area, so all of South Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and parts of West Sussex but we welcome anyone who wishes to join us for a drive from neighbouring areas also. If you want to come along to a pub meet or event.
Pub Meets
During winter we meet on the third Wednesday of the month at The Milburys Pub in Beauworth, SO24 0PB. The pub is very comfortable and does excellent food, wine and beer, so do come along for a chat with fellow MX5 owners – you will be made most welcome. However, this is a flexible arrangement, so check our programme first, as we can chase these evening meets, to provide a bit of variation!

NB: Please note the quality of this PDF copy is quite small and you can click on it and zoom in but the clarity is sadly not that great. We are currently working with the Web Design Team in order to get a better solution for this and will update the programme post accordingly, when it is completed.
People usually arrive, at The Milburys, any time from 7.30pm onwards and some people have a meal, while others just come along for a drink. We usually sit in the bar just off the main entrance from their large car park. If we have a very large gathering or need to discuss programme issues, Martin the Landlord has additional room we can use but food and drink is still readily available in this location. Again, posts will be made to announce each pub meet, so it is important to keep an eye on the forum.
Events
We have a range of events over the year, encompassing Sunday drives, usually ending with a lunch at a local hostelry near the finish point. We also visit museums/car collections, places of interest, Fish & Chip runs to the beach and generally have a good time in our 5’s.
Terry and Mal, Solent Area Coordinator’s, can help with things like posting on our Solent Area Discussion Page and also provide advice on how to organise a drive, should you like to conduct a drive or event for everyone.
Members get a real sense of satisfaction producing drives and nice country pubs for us to visit, so please do help with this aspect of your membership.
All events are advertised in the forum, so this should be your first port of call to find out what’s on, as mentioned previously.
