West London
It’s very quiet in West London category? Are we missing an area coordinator or are there just not many members in this area?
Howdy Howdy! Resurrecting this thread to bring some traffic in (horrible pun intended!)
I’m collecting my first car which also happens to be a 2007 NC in a couple of weeks and cannot wait!! I’m based in Hayes, and I’ve actually seen 2 other MX-5’s parked at the bottom of my building this week…so…friends!
My brother also has/had a Eunos which we repaired and got running again after years, but unfortunately someone crashed into him, writing off the whole baby
He’s currently waiting on the finalisation of purchasing one of the new new shiny MX-5’s but we aim to rebuild the written off Eunos by doing all the welding and repairs ourselves!
Hi G4meCu8an, Welcome from Kingston-Upon-Thames area
Nice to meet you Chris_Ab!
How have you found owning an MX-5?
I’m only minorly scared as it’s going to be my first car, but I’ve sat in an NA for long enough that I hope driving one will be second nature!
Been lovely owning it. Good mpg compared to mad cars I’ve owned in the past. Handles very well, comfortable seats and comfy ride. Want to do the exhaust, to give it a bit more sound, as it is very quiet with the standard exhaust.
So much fun just having a drive in it!! Don’t need silly power or speed anymore to put a smile on my face
It doesn’t scare me and when the tail sides out, it’s a thrilling bonus as it is expected!
I’ve always found excessive amounts of power, well, excessive. Besides, I prefer going sideways more than I do forwards ![]()
Unfortunately, my baby needs some repairs since I got T-boned at a roundabout and got given the “I didn’t see you” excuse, so I’m picking up welding to do it myself. (My usual garage doesn’t seem to have the capability to do it shrug)
Just seen another MX-5 NC with the MX-5 owners club sticker parked next to my building! Whoever you are let yourself be known ![]()
Tomorrow is the solstice, the sun starts to return. Let’s get our pagan roofs down to celebrate.
