Hi,
I have a 2000 mx-5 1.8 and recently my ABS warning light came on. I established that the code was 51 which indicates Valve Relay fault. I’ve searched this and other forums but can’t find the info for this apart from the fact that it can be very expensive to fix. I’ve also tried sourcing a replacement but haven’t as yet had any luck. Does anyone know where I can find one or whether it’s possible that this code is fixable by other means? Perhaps wiring etc…
Many thanks for reading,
Matt
Looks like a replacedment ABS unit from ebay or Autolink.
That would be my guess, unless that is there is someone on the forum who
knows better and it is maybe a relay under the dash but I don’t think
so.
We have ABS units and all associated parts if you need them.We can do deal on these as they dont really sell much.Robert mx5ireland sponsor.
There is an ABS ecu control unit beside the normal ecu ,under the passengers feet area.Possible it may have got wet ???
Now when I changed the ECU on my MK2 the other week there was a unit the same height as the ECU but say a third of the width next to it.
