ABS Valve Relay Location?

Have tested my ABS fault codes on my Mk2.5 and it indicates code 51 - valve relay failure.



Where is the valve relay? I can’t see where on earth it can be.

   The relay is part of the ABS module.  I would recommend an independent rest to verify your fault code as these modules are horrendously expensive.   If the module is faulty I am told they can be repaired/rebuilt at around the £350 mark plus fitting.   Try www.bba-reman.com    www.ecutesting.com   www.sinspeed.co.uk   I have no personal experience of these companies but I have read in the press of the problems VW are having with ABS modules.  I read that they were being replaced at a cost of around £1500!  now I believe they are being repaired.

Thanks Geoff - I managed to get a used module from eBay for 40 quid which solved the problem. Cheered me up no end after reading the horror of what it could have cost!
