I have reset it three times, definitely 53.
Have you checked the fuse and for 12 volts at the fuse?
I don’t know where that fuse is?
Is it inside the abs module?
I have tested the relays behind the abs module and they appear fine, so what could be the cause?
Fuse is in the fuse box under the bonnet next to the brake master cylinder.
Ok I will test it now. I thought it was surpossed to be 60 amps
I’m going to have to look at a wiring diagram. May not be until next week now though.
Which relays have you tested? can you post a photo of the relays and front of the ABS unit please?
Here a few tests that you can be getting on with…
There is a fuse in the fuse box under the dash called A/B, should be middle row at the bottom. It’s a 10 amp fuse. Check that this is OK and has 12 volts across it.
If you’ve got 12 volts across the 20 AMP ABS fuse then you need to check for 12 volts at the Green wire at the ABS hydraulic unit. A grey plug with 10 wires in it. The Green wire should be between a Black/Blue wire and a Blue/Orange wire.
Also check for 12 volts at the White/Red wire in the 2 wire grey plug that’s near the the 10 pin plug. The other wire in that plug should be Red/Yellow.
These wires (Green & White/Red) should be live at all times.
At the ABS control module, check for 12 volts at the Blue/White wire with the ignition on. This wire should be in the corner of the plug next to a Violet wire. The Violet wire should have 12 volts on it with the ignition on too.
Carry out these tests with everything plugged in, use a straightened out paperclip to back-probe the connectors. You have to carefully remove the plastic cover from the ABS control module plug.
