Accessing MX5OC forums via new phone & “bookmark”

Good afternoon all.

Just changed my phone, after 5 years and ran into an issue - now sorted. I thought it might be helpful to someone who might experience same?

Previous phone was an IPhone SE (2020), and I had a bookmark on the Home Screen amongst the App Icons, which was useful to allow me to log into the MX5OC forum quickly. Has worked well for years.

I’ve just bought an iPhone 16 and all the App Icons and the OC bookmark transferred over to the new phone.

When I tried to use the bookmark I received the following warning:

Initially I wondered if you all might be receiving this, but quickly discovered it was probably associated with the move to the new phone.

I deleted the bookmark, then logged into the OC Website and created a new bookmark on the new phone.

Thankfully all back to normal and working well.

Just in case someone else experiences something similar- although many of you will be more tech savvy than me, and therefore will take an issue like this in your stride.

Hi David, thanks for sharing this useful tip.

We did actually have a period this morning where the security certificate was being changed over so you may have coincidentally hit that too.

I had the same issue this morning, I deduced it was the OC site, every other book mark works, no issues. It is now resolved but I’ve not done anything different today, same phone etc.

It was the security certificate that caused the problem.
