Active bonnet warning when I start up my ND1

  1. My model of MX-5 is: ND1
  2. I’m based near: Nottingham
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: whenever I start up my car I hear a very loud ding and then this symbol (I believe it’s the active bonnet warning) comes on and then turns off. I have checked to see if the bonnet is open or perhaps not shut properly but nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. I have not seen this before nor have I heard this “ding/beep”. Thanks all.

A thought… Is this just the low temperature (ice) warning bing? The active bonnet warning should always come on and off.
