Advantages K and N Cone Filter / Standard Air filter setup

I have a Mk2 1.6 MX5  (UK)  and am considering a K and N cone Air filter fit.

Those of you who have already done this, what would you say the advantages are?

Psychological. 

Practical - cleanable/re-usable.

Sounds bloody lovely though.

As above no downside but clean ability and better induction noise are may be worth it , got mine of the bay 60/70 quid K+N 57 i ?
