Advice on mx5 specialists around cambridgeshire area

Hi everyone, I haven’t gotten around to doing a propper introduction yet on here, need to get some nice pics still. Had some great advice from the cambridge and norfolk meets too, but thought its worth asking here as well!

I picked up my sunlight silver 2002 svt coming up to 2 months ago, and my goal is to tackle anything that needs doing before thinking any further ahead.

Ive been looking for mx5 specialists or trusted garages where i could get a full service and a propper look over from someone who really knows their stuff, to advice on the condition around the car and what work, refreshes or replacements are recommended.

Ive been trying to get in touch with NorthantsMx5 as this car has had repairs there prior, but havent been getting any response from them for almost a month now :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Any recommendations around Cambridgeshire + 1 hour drive, i would happily consider as i dont mind the drive!

Want to treat this car right so ill consider any recommendations!

Welcome to the club and especially S-VT ownership.

I am based near Watford and happily take my Madge 2 hours up the M1 to Steve & Ali at MX-5 Restorations in Ilkeston. I then take a scenic route home when I collect her.

From Cambridge the journey would probably take a similar time. Hope you find somewhere that suits, wishing you many smiles per mile.

Definitely closer than some though! Yes I’ve got Vincent’s noted down as I’ve heard from a few others too. Always good to be reassured!

Another vote for Vincents :+1:. Wouldn’t take my Mk3 anywhere else and it’s nearly an hours drive from where we are in Norwich.
I believe it’s possible to get a courtesy car so you could explore some of the lovely Suffolk countryside while Vin & his team work their magic.
