Advice please re painting brake calipers

Hi - i am the proud owner of an ND that i have had now for a little over 4 years. Love the car to bits and really looking forward to some better weather here in the UK so i can get the top down again. Anyways - to my question.
I am thinking about painting my calipers as they are looking a little “tired”. My question is - what colour would people suggest.
There is the obvious red, or the colour i am leaning to of black, however what do others think?
I have included a couple of pics for reference.

Thanks everyone

I think I’d be tempted with a dark blue :slightly_smiling_face:
Chris

I always think body colour looks neat?

Stuck with the silver.

I recently painted mine red…

Previous car they were painted copper colour, they turned out to looked like bronze which I liked…

It’s all matter of taste, don’t think the red calipers would have worked on a red car but definitely on a white car, dark wheels.

Important to use caliper paint or definitely heat resistant paint. Paint the dust shields and unswept parts of the discs, it makes the whole wheel look fresh. OTT well that’s how I like to keep my car looking.

I stayed with silver on my recent refurb. I’ve never used calliper paint, just good quality high temp paint and lacquer from my local motor factors. Never had a problem with the finish either. I think a nice blue like BMW use on their M series car callipers would look well on your car.

Hi-temperature, metallic, “M-Sport Blue”

Went around the local BMW dealership car park to check them out in the flesh. Probably Estoril Blue.

25 years ago, I did a set in red using the Foliatec stuff. They looked good but I think it’s a bit boy racer now. I’d do them silver.

And me

This colour blindness is terrible! :flushed::joy:

I thought red suited the car so that’s what I did during the caliper refurb.

Just had mine done along with the wheels got the car back today.
Just need some shiny nuts! To finish the wheels off.
