Advice required on where to source hood material for 1930 Talbot Darracq Cabriolet

A friend in North London is restoring a 1930 Talbot Darracq with a Cabriolet canvas hood.

He has all the frame and fixings etc, but the hood material while apparently intact has seen better days. The guess is that it might be usable as a pattern.

As the MX-5 O/C has a vast experience in finding the best results for hood repairs, I thought this forum might be an excellent start for a recommendation where he can find some expert advice and the correct waterproof hood material.

Can anyone help?

I suppose start with Martrim or Woolies.

You could try Iain Tyrrell classic cars. He may be able to point you in the right direction. For enquiries the email is cars@iaintyrrell.co.uk

Many Thanks to ast and Jacob_Rees, these suggestions are some good starting points.

I think my friend will be more interested in the two suppliers ast suggested.

Iain Tyrrell looks to be focussed on the more modern exoticars and probably too pricey, but with his experience he may know someone who fits the bill.
