Some may remember Jon Smith, (Jon Earp), the previous Owners Club motorsport coordinator. Jon started the OC weekend track events, you may remember the Deckerdence bus.
Jon later went on to start the annual Race of Remembrance, a motor race with a difference, that takes place in Anglesey each year.

Well after this Jon went on to found the TWP (Together we Progress) University race team from Glyndwr Wrexham University using his Army pension to fund it. I have raced with this team now for two years and it has been both a frustration, but ultimately a joy to see the progression of what was a pretty rag tag and disorganised bunch of “kids” develop into a well organised an professional race team. The first UK student team to compete a whole season in endurance racing and the first UK student team to win an endurance race.
