Particularly interested in what Dave and Gail had to say. Jackie and I also took our time in adopting our “Scarlet” a 2014 NC Mk 3.75 in a very loud red. She finally came home with us August 2022 from a used dealer in Maidstone who specialises in and only deals with MX’s.
It took me only fifteen minutes to acknowledge my first wave and I love that. I was in the used motor trade in the mid-late 70’s and early 80’s, smoking around in a lotus Europa a spitfire and for about a week an E type in 1987 I got a great deal on a Midget until October when the great storm flattened my garage along with the MG.
Then I built a career in tourism and cruising and made do with Sierras, Escorts, several Focus variants and currently a Puma. However, our ‘Scarlet’ , like all MX-5’s is a total sports car and she will be with us until one of us falls apart.
Took a while to join the club but will become much more active as I have loads of questions and need some advice on a couple of tiny rust spots on wheel arches.
Anyway we are really looking forward to what ever day this years Summer will fall on.
