I think you will find that filtering is legal in this country and perhaps you or another car user did not give enough space for the bike to filter passed some bikers do get aggressive due to thinking they have the right to pass the law states you can filter at an appropriate speed but some just want to fly by
As an owner of an Nd RF and a bike I can understand both points of view.
Stuck in traffic is not pleasant and I see the best and worst in people.
Week before last a Merc did a u turn without looking and a bike couldn’t avoid it. All were ok fortunately.
Last week near Dartford, again on a bike, stationary traffic on M25, so we were filtering. Some people don’t see or hear you, some move over and some block your path. You have to presume everyone has a contract out on you as you are vulnerable.
Stuck in traffic in the RF with the roof down I can hear bikes and move over to give them space for their safety as they know I have seen them.
There are numpties in all walks of life that decide not to take responsibility for their actions and make life difficult for others.
Be kind
Simple plurals with an apostrophe added are seriously annoying too…
Full stop at “too” please.
Edit awaited…Oh…
IME, the armoured, leather-clad superbikers are generally pretty cautious when filtering.
It’s the shorts and tee shirt L-platers that go whizzing through.
The good bikers get a bad name from the idiots bikers
Leather clad, does it really matter, idiot passed me last week, a few cars behind me then when he/she got to get past me I’d just come upon a central refuge and a stopped bus. This idiot took the central refuge on the wrong side and as also passed the bus as I was about too, narrowly missing a car coming the other way. It slowed to a line of slow moving traffic at the lights (couldn’t get past) then just full throttle passing them all and in the process overtaking on a pedestrian crossing, zig zags the lot.
The decent ones were at Matlock Bath yesterday, quite a few passed us, riding responsibly all very much well mannered.
I’m sure there’s an answer in here somewhere.
