Air Chamber

Has anyone used an Airflow Air Chamber to store an MX-5 RF?

Would an ND RF fit inside the smallest Sportscar version (Length 4.15m, Width 1.8m, Height 1.7m)?

My garage is only 2.2m wide so want to use the smallest size Air Chamber possible.

Many thanks.

I don’t have any experience of these, though I like the idea. My very old garage has a flat concrete roof and leaks drips of water on my RF despite my having a PVC cladding ceiling added inside.

According to Mazda the RF is length 3.92m, width 1.74m, height 1.24m, and so would just fit in the Sportscar Airchamber.

I would be worried about we would get out of the car though with such a close fit, though from AirChamber’s pictures it looks like they might have a zippable side entrance?

Maybe the next size up, Small – 4.5 x 2.0 x 1.8, would be more appropriate, though in your garage there then wouldn’t be much space down the sides.

One of my neighbours owns an ex-council house with a concrete roof over porch and front bay window. That used to drip condensation in the living room and was icy cold in winter.

I persuaded her to ask her handy builder to add another layer on TOP of the flat roof, 2" of polystyrene foam insulation with normal flat roof top coating. He did a very nice professional job including tagging a wood frame around outside the polystyrene but inside the weather covering to anchor it all.

Now her living room is toasty and no drips!
It also stays cool in summer.

Thanks IceHelm - will check to see if the side panel unzips by the door. If it does, it should work well. If not, I agree it probably needs a bigger size.

Thanks Richard. There’s definitely an art and science to managing condensation and water ingress!
