Not really, the procedure for the self diagnosis is listed in another post that I replied to recently but the most likely problem is low gas as you suspect.
Yes, the self diagnosis procedure is in that topic isn’t it?
The dealer should check the system pressure before re-gassing it to confirm that it’s low. There is a pressure switch the stops the pump running and the fan cutting in if the pressure is low.
All the lights lit doing the first test, I could check the Solar Radiation Sensor as we only have the stupid eco friendly bulbs, I then tried the final test the A/C button lit up on all occasions except Auto, Feet only and feet and screen on the mode dial.
I can also confirm my car does have the tube attached the the rear of the grated panel below the DSC button.
Yes, they are the charge ports (high pressure and low pressure when the system is running). You could bridge the pressure switch terminals and check that the pump and fan cut in but I can’t advise which wire colours to bridge without a wiring diagram. If there are only 2 on the pressure switch (near the high pressure charge port) then you could disconnect the connector and bridge the wires In the harness with the engine running and the AC on. Do it at your own risk though without checking a wiring diagram.
£10 says the switch is fine and it’s just a re-gas that it needs…
The AC guy should check for any leaks too. It may have a leak or the gas may have just leaked out over time. There is a pipe on the left hand side of the condenser that you can see by looking through the lower air intake in the bumper, check for dampness round that, I’ve known them to leak.
We had ours re gassed but have found out since it’s leaking so it’s not going to last long. Have been quoted if it’s the condenser then nearly £300 fingers crossed for you
