Air Deflector With Front Air Dam

Just about to fit genuine Mazda front air dam. Is it really necessary to fit the optional air dam under the engine as well ? On the RF it is just 2 small bits. Thanks, Geoff.

It is there for a reason so when I put mine on I did

I do find it interesting that the ST and RF versions come with different bits
The RF already has the wider deflector fitted from factory, the ST doesn’t
So for whatever reason the ST “needs” the wider one and the RF “needs” it making wider :man_shrugging:

From memory the deflectors came with my front air dam rather than something I had to order separately…
