Air filter heat Shield

Hi, i know this topic has been brought up many times, but has anyone found a heat shield that will fit round the K&N cone filter from the 57i kit for a 1998 MK1?  Cone is 203mm long?

Yeah i just make one to fit how much shield the owner wants I’ll do a how to this weekend for everyone to follow with a few different sizes, but once you have the basic measurements and cut outs, you can make one as big or as small as you want ;0)

I’d say don’t bother: I had a heat shield on an open cone and even with two air feeds, the heat soak was noticeable.

I now have an enclosed air cone (faux carbon fibre!) with an EBay cold air feed pipe, all going out to a vented pop-up cover (Mk1) - plus I have heat wrapped/aluminium heat tape-wrapped the whole assembly. End result - better!
