After spending many an hour searching the web and phoning dealers I am no further forward in obtaining centre wheel caps for the 16" Alloy wheels I have just aquired from a private seller. The wheels in question are Mazda OEM Design 131 Part Number 9965D76560 for the NC. I do not mind whether the centre caps are black or silver I just need them! I have seen part number KD51-37-190 but not entirely convinced these are the ones.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Mine are 17" alloys but this is what I did on the advice of the dealer parts dept.
To be sure of getting the correct size of centre cap I took an alloy down to the dealer, or if they have a car in stock with the alloys on of your type they could go from there.
My dealer just wanted to make sure they ordered the correct ones for me.

Thank you for the advice. Apparently the 16" and 17", according to the Dealer have the same caps, so if your wheels are the same design as mine I would appreciate it if you could give me the part number you have for the caps.

I bought a set last year and they’re exactly the same as the originals.
These are advertised for both 16 and 17 inch wheels and the silver set I bought for 16 inch fit perfectly. I’ve just ordered a set of gloss black ones to save messing about painting the set I bought last year. You can’t go wrong at £8 for a SET OF 4.
These are the caps I bought for my 17" alloys, they told me only available in black.

The number above is the only reference number on my invoice so assuming if you quote that at the dealer they can at least try it.
Going back to this thread, just have a read of it, some pictures are not available. The first post by Chris is interesting, I not sure the 16 and 17" wheel (centres) take the same cap.

When I had our Sport 17" wheels refurbed I got new silver centre caps from MX5Parts.

I would be very susipicious of a part that fits an MX-5/Miata from year 1986 to 2008.

I got the email via a Mazda dealership contact page, I found them useful in finding the full spec of my NB as I wanted to add some original “bits & peices” to it
there do seem to be a variety of sizes - 55mm or 56 or even 57mm.
Think I may disect mine and paint them black and see how that goes…
Advertised sizes may vary by 1 or 2 mm depending whether the caps are measured across the tabs or the badge itself.
Hi everyone who posted their comments and advice regarding my search for centre wheel caps. Who would have thought that four pieces of plastic could cause such a problem. I am working through the advice given and will let you know the outcome when resolved. The latest from the dealership is I should be looking at part number G22C37190A for this particular wheel, I cannot bring myself to tell you the price of them (discussion for another day perhaps). Anyway the search continues .

Where’s the problem ?
I sent links to sets of both silver and black caps yesterday costing only £8 PER SET OF 4 including 1st class postage. I ordered some black ones yesterday and they came this morning. They’re a fraction of the price of MX5 Parts or the dealers and the quality is the same as the originals. What’s not to like ?
