Alloy wheel fitment et20 offset

Hi,

Looking for a bit of advice on wheel fitment, mx5 na (Merlot)

I would like to change my wheels to 15 x 6.5 ET 20, with the intention of bringing the wheels out flush with the arches, slightly lowered body.Currently got std original wheels, 15 x 6 ET45.

Firstly, does this sound about right?

Secondly, any wheels this size std 4 stud pattern? (Been looking but without much sucess),or would a conversion to 5 stud be necessary?

Thanks for any advice/suggestions.

Paul.

You might find this web site useful…

You are a great deal more likely to find a 7" or 8" with wheel in the offset you want.

Hi Mac and Nick,

Thanks for your replies. Web link is brilliant, thanks, i will play around with sizes, but i dont want to any bigger than 61/2 in width.

Can you point me in the direction of wheel suppliers, have only found wheelbasealloys, and a couple of others, forget their names tho!

Thanks.

Woody, if you want 20 offset you are most likely going to have to going to have to have a 7" width wheel, unless you are going to use spacers. 7" is pretty much the standard width. The lowest offset you are going get on a standard aftermarket wheel at 6.5 width is going to be 35. Modern suspension design is not about narrow wheels and low offset. 20 offset is pretty much going to be 8" wide if you want any sort of off the shelf choice. There is nothing wrong with a 195 50 on a 7" rim. Race Mazda’s use 7" on a 30 offset.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your valued information, i will revise my search accordingly, good advice from someone in the know!
