Can anyone recommend an alloy wheel refurb company in the Brackley Banbury Bicester Milton Keynes area?
My NC Launch Edition’s wheels were badly “refurbed” (by which I mean re-sprayed in a rush by a rubbish car dealer) in the wrong colour so I need to get them stripped and refurbed (also to get rid of some corrosion and kerbing) in the correct Shadow Chrome.
Does anyone know what I should be expecting cost wise for this?

A friend of mine owns a bodyshop. I asked him about refurbishing an alloy wheel I had damaged in an underground car park in Italy this Summer. His advice was not to do it simply because if a resprayed wheel gets kerbed again it looks far worse than the original damage. Apparently, it is not possible to skim most alloy wheels to repair the damage & most repairs involve filler of some kind.
He advised me to look for new replacements which some dealers retain if customers have specified different rims from new.
A refurb would cost around £70 + vat.
I don’t know what size rims you have but here are some new OEM 17" rims on Ebay for £129 including delivery. I have bought a couple for our MX5.
