Alloy Wheel repair kits?

Has anyone successfully used an alloy wheel repair kit to sort minor scuffs and scrapes, rather than buy new or 2nd hand alloys?

Any recommended kits?

Cheers, Ian

I have tried a kit from eBay. The main problem is matching the paint colour so results are only so so.

I asked my Mazda dealer for the correct wheel paint and was told it was not a defined Mazda colour. I guess they buy the wheels in already painted so a respray or refurb on all 4 wheels  is the only way to get a perfect finish.

MK3 - Sunlight Silver

I managed to scuff a rim slightly in Belgium last year (a stupid kerb with an outward angle on it).

I had some paint left over from when I painted under the boot lid, so decided to see how it would look.

I took my dremmel tool with an emery wheel and lightly removed the rough edge, then over a period of a few hours built up the scuff with the Sunlight silver.

Turned out to be a great match.
