Upgraded my door speakers today.
The Alpine speakers fitted perfectly and are a great improvement on the standard Sony speakers.
To make fitting easier I used a pair of cable converters which were just £1.99 from Ebay, per pair.
Hardest part of the job was taking the old speakers out of the door pods as they were siliconed in.
Hi, a few quick questions. Are those adapters around the speakers? If so what size did you need to adapt from. Have you now lost the tweeters which were high up on the door? If so, are you able to hear the tweeters at speed with the roof down?

They aren’t adaptors they are the actually OEM speaker pods. The speakers fit into them.
The OEM speakers were 5x7" and the Alpine fitted perfectly with all screw holes matching.
If you take your door card off all will become clear.
The door tweeters still work, I checked this morning.
Not sure about roof down as yet as it’s raining today.
Thanks. Thinking of changing mine but didn’t want to lose the tweeters.
The door tweeters are wired by a different harness that attaches to the door cards.
