As the subject say’s, I can’t find my Check Engine light.
The car is a Imported Roadster Automatic. The log book says 1998 but I think its the 1998 manufactured car for the 1999 10th Anniversary model.
Frustratingly, after scouring the Internet for pictures and videos of the instrument clusters, Mazda seems to keep moving the lights around all over the place !?!?
I even took the cluster out and shone a light into all the holes and I can’t find the engine light anywhere.
Even the owners manual that came with the car doesn’t show it (see pic attached).
This picture is the closest in accuracy to what I have but even then its not quite right.
The unlabelled light to the left of the RPM clock is actually my ABS light and the same light on the opposite side of the cluster (to the right of the Speedo) is the HOLD light for the Automatic.
The four in the centre of the cluster are as depicted except the unlabelled light is the airbag light.
Thanks for the replies, that is re-assuring, thought I was going mad.
Despite wanting one of these cars since the 90’s, I’m a newbie to the vehicle and finally bought a non-runner a few weeks ago.
Probably not the best idea to start out with a car that has a non-starting issue as its incredibly frustrating to finally own one, but still never driven one.
