Anti-Rollbar

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __ND2
  2. I’m based near: _Blackburn
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __ Anti Roll Bar

I’m looking to reduce some of the body roll during fast cornering but would like to keep the original Bilstein dampers and springs. Would upgrading the front and rear anti-roll bars help dial out what currently feels like excessive body roll?

Yes.

Yes, that’s just what they are for.

I’ve been considering some too. The Eibach versions seem to review well. Mentioned here:

and here:

Larkspeed are usually competitive, to give you a baseline price at least. But I haven’t got around looking at pricing yet:

There are also options from Hardrace, Whiteline & Superpro from Bofi:

It looks like the drop links and the required bushes or included with the Whiteline one

In my experience, the hardrace stuff is very ‘Chinesium’ with a sticker put over the top. Whiteline are better than they were, but the components are also a bit naff and rust after 10 mins.
H&R/Eibach/Superpro would be brands of choice. Or Karcepts from the states if feeling flush.

Some argue and I see a case for it too, that Superpro are the same as whiteline with a better finish. I’ve had them all on various cars over the years and this is my experience/opinion.

Thank you for that. I was leaning toward the Superpro to be honest. Your post as made my mind up. Not cheap for what looks like some bar shaped to fit

Definitely not! Its crazy how much stuff has got. I originally ordered a set from tweeks before covid and they were 350 a set. Waited forever, cancelled the order, reordered after covid and think they jumped to 500!

As for drop links. There are much cheaper options than superpro and whiteline, if going low enough, for adjustables.

@StuSmith: Are you aware of the complexity involved with changing the front anti-roll bar on an ND?

It’s something to consider especially when the rear is significantly easier.

Hi Jonathan… I have access to a ramp, and even better if I get stuck, there’s a friendly mechanic on hand. I’ve also been watching YouTube videos, so feeling more confident about giving it a go.
