changing the LSD oil, but read in a post that some imports need a specific oil:
i’m not expecting it to have (eg) Kaaz stamped on it somewhere, but any way of seeing from the LSD itself? they all look the same to me. or any site where i can look up?
seen this also:
my door sticker says limited edition or special edition. i have no way of knowing if the diff was replaced before i bought it, unless someone can give me a specific thing to look for.

If you put the wrong oil in (if a clutch LSD), you will know when you go for a drive.
woah, yeah there’s no way i’m doing before more research.
If the car has a Kaaz or similar diff, there will be tons of other signs its been ragged, such as rollcage, modified suspension, engine.
Why do you think it has a clutch diff.
i don’t think it has a clutch diff, i have absolutely no idea one way or the other. its when i read your post about imports sometimes having an aftermarket one, because my sticker says S-Special, i had to enquire.
Pull a drive shaft and take a picture down the hole. Not hard to do and very quick
from the door sticker info, @ast was able to tell me it originally came with a VLSD. i’ll double check tomorrow, that it still has the original one, if it isn’t raining, now that i know about tiny design differences between them.
