April 26th 2026 - NNCVC's St George's Day Run Sheringham to Holkham

Hi N5’ers.

The event

The North Norfolk classic vehicle club St George’s Day run is a fantastic run out, its a great chance to see some amazing classic cars and pass through some lovely parts of North Norfolk. This years run is ending up a Holkham Hall there will be 2 route maps beeing handed out and its always great fun to keep crossing over with lots of classic cars along the way if you would like to do the set route…or you can choose to make a direct route to Holkham Hall via the coast road, with Cley en route for that late-breakfast fix.

The starting point.
Meet at Hevingham Village Hall Brick Kiln Rd NR10 5NL please arrive from 8:20 to leave at 8:45. Depending on turnout we may split the convoy into groups

We will aim to arrive at Sheringham station car park NR26 8RG for 9:15. Upon arrival you will need to sign in and you will be given your route pack for the day. YOU MUST OF REGISTERED IN ADVANCE

Once you have been given your route map, you will then be sent off by the Mayor of Sheringham, dogs are welcome at Holkham Hall but must be kept on leads.

Entry for this amazing event closes on the 17th April, the cost for this run is a £20 donation to the East Anglia air ambulance. Which is a great cause the Norfolk Five’s have made some great donations to them in the past and we even made it into the paper with how much we rasied.

Message from NNCVC -

We want you to enjoy the day, but with over 270 entrants we ask that you adhere to following rules and at all times obey the instruction of the marshals.

THE START
The Run will start as usual from the Sheringham Station Road car park courtesy of the North Norfolk District Council. Route book collection will be between 9am and 10.15am.

THERE WILL BE NO ISSUE OF ROUTE BOOKS AFTER 10.15am.

Remember if you did the BLUE route last year (Hint, coffee stop Gressenhall Museum) you should do the ORANGE route this year (Hint, coffee stop Fakenham Garden Centre). Please note, the people handing out the route books do not know which route you did last year, so please don’t ask them, as it only holds up the queue.
After collection of your route book, you may park up to purchase rally plates, St George flags and refreshments. Toilets are available at Station Approach alongside the North Norfolk Railway.
Please do not dwell in the car park - you will have plenty of time to catch up with friends at Holkham. If you remain in the car park after 10.30am you may be charged.
Although you may see “Road Closed Ahead” signs, to the best of our knowledge, although we cannot guarantee it, you should not encounter any road closures on either of the routes.

THE FINISH
The run will again finish at the Holkham Estate courtesy of the Earl and Countess of Leicester.
ALL ENTRANTS MUST ENTER THE HOLKHAM ESTATE VIA THE SOUTH (COACH) ENTRANCE.
THERE IS STRICTLY NO ACCESS TO OUR PARKING AREA VIA THE NORTH, (A149) PUBLIC ENTRANCE.
After showing your route book to the marshal at the South Gate, you must proceed to our designated parking area without stopping until you reach the parking marshals. If you wish to park with friends then you must meet up together before you enter the Estate. The South Gate will be closed for entry at 2pm.

Refreshments and toilets will be available in the Courtyard.

WHEN YOU WISH TO LEAVE YOU MUST DO SO VIA THE SOUTH GATE WHERE YOU ENTERED.

Remember if your Classic is temperamental or there is bad weather, please enjoy the run in your everyday car.

Thanks to your generosity over £6,000 has been raised from your entry donations and every penny will go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

If you have any comments on the run, please email info@nncvcstgrun.org.uk

Unfortunately I can’t make it now

We’re going ‘off-piste’ this year and doing our own thing regarding this run. It’s for various complicated reasons - however hopefully we’ll see you at Sheringham and later at Holkham Hall. If you see us driving around North Norfolk don’t follow us or you may end up where you don’t want to! Paul & Linda

Hi Paul,

It’s a safe bet that a few of us will be going off-the-books tomorrow.

My plan is to coastal-road it to Cley for breakfast, then onwards from there.

All welcome to convoy

Thanks for the info Brendan - we’ll see you somewhere. Might join you to Cley, where are you having Breakfast? April has been and May will be very busy for us. No doubt June will also turn out busy as well. Paul

The bird-watching place is where I’m thinking of, the centre with the cafe and such.

OK - thanks. I’ll see everyone somewhere!
