Aqua Wax

Hi, has anyone tried Autoglym Aqua Wax?  You can put it on while the car is still wet and then buff it.  Sounds too good to be true to me.

It’s BRILLIANT and it smells GORGEOUS. Brings up a lovely shine so quickly with so little effort! I have 3 bottles in my cupboard from the Halfords 3 for 2 offer because I love is so much lol

Sounds great, Think I will get some.[Y]

I like this wax as well, it is great when you don’t have much time, not as good as a full wax and polish but keeps it looking great with little effort.

Keep an eye out for the Auto Glym vans and shows, I bought a 5 Lt bottle for less than £20. will last me the rest of my life!

Used it a couple of times now. Its very easy and the car looks lovely and shiny. Thanks for the info.

Does it leave white powder when you buff it off?

Nope no powder - but it is a bit of a pain to get off I found (especially from ‘flexible’ panels like the bootlid), but does leave a reasonable finish.

I say ‘reasonable’ because (although better than before), not great, and not worth the money unless you get it as part of a promotion.

If you just want a bit more of a shine - buff it up after washing with a microfibre cloth → You’ll probably be surprised how much better it is.

To me, it is a good product for the winter months, when you don’t want to be outside in the cold, or don’t have enough daylight hours, but not for the summer.

I like this product but it is good at keeping a polished car in good condition, if your paint is poor then you realy need to clean it and apply a good polish. I use the Aqua wax after I wash the car, on a car as small as an MX5 I don’t think it take much longer than trying to dry with a leather or microfibre cloth. I think it looks quite expensive when you buy it retail with a cloth. As I mentioned I got a gallon for about £20 at a show, just ask them, they will have it in the van, I think it is called express wax in a large trade can, find a couple of friends who want some and you can share the large container.

I’ve just started using autosmart duet…i think thats what it’s called…

it’s just a shampoo but it really puts a polished shine on the car.

I almost can’t be arsed to polish my car now as it already looks great after a wash…“ALMOST”…

lol

think i might try aqua wax though… how much £"££££££ does cost?

 Hi

Sorry but i tried it and then put it in the bin, total rubbish IMHO,stick to a good wax like autoglym, mer, etc, time spent always shows???

Regards

I just used it for the first time & both me & my cats found the smell quite intoxicating.  The g/f was indoors & she said “that smells amazing!”

Hi may I know if that product is good for non-metal car accessories. Some polisher and cleaner leaves wite marks on my car accessories made by a fiber glass or plastic. Thanks!Big Smile

I would describe this as a between polish product. I really like it and use it after most washes. I use it on all sur other

than the windscreen. In leases no residue, it is very good for plastics and metal

I have used it for some time now and find it really very good providing the car has had a good polish sometime previously. I initially brought the car up with Autoglym and Aquawax keeps on top of it to give a good shine. It is so easy to use, spray on when wet and use a microfibre cloth to dry off and spread the wax, then buff up with dry micro fibre cloth. Super. But if I want to get it a little better then I use Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection after the Aquawax. It still takes no time at all and the result is all that I want it to be.
