At Last.......Been a long wait

Finally collected my 2005 MK2.5 on Monday. Drove it from Gnosshall Staffs back up to Haydon Bridge and it drove impeccably. Luckily before this cold snap and hood was down almost half the journey. Until dusk. Forgot just how good these cars are. (Used to own a Mk 1 until twelve years ago. This one tucked up on the garage now as I’m away for the next 6 weeks. And then the adventure starts again.!

Hope to get to the Area meets in the New Year, James

Nice area for driving an MX-5, I went to school there many years ago!

Congrats on your purchase, I wish you many days of fun with it.

Congrats on acquiring a 2.5, wishing you many smiles per mile :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :+1:

Welcome to membership and ownership from fellow

2005 MK2.5  owner Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs

[I would just check the age of your battery if you are leaving it for 6 weeks. Had Bullit since 2007 and her battery needed replacing approx every 7 years regardless of mileage]

Meanwhile have fun, fun, fun…….you’ve chosen the best MX-5 me finks but then I am somewhat biaised :innocent: ]

Welcome from Hertfordshire.

Thank you everyone. Apologies for the slow response to your kind messages and tips. I have been away (down under !). Car safely laid up in the dry, but have fired it up and moved it about a bit. Cannot wait for Spring when after checking it all over, I will be putting it into proper use. James

Welcome

Look forward to seeing it about when the meets/drives start up proper. We have our monthly meet this week at Stanington just off the A1. I think that would be the closest one to you (just) still if it’s a nice evening there are some nice roads/routes back across

Cheers, Rick from Crammy.

Hi Rick, thanks for the mail.
Had a few outings by now and they have been a blast.
Have been mainly South from our village Haydon Bridge on to the North Penines towards Teasdale and back through Penrith, Alston etc. Wonderful drives with very little traffic.
Would have loved to get to the meet tomorrow, but we are off to see a Concert at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham. Blast from the past itself …Fairport Convention.
Hope that we meet up soon,
Best Wishes, James
